Georg Jensen Quality and Standards.
All Georg Jensen Watches are Swiss Made. “Swiss Made” embodies as concept of quality of Swiss craftmanship of watch making that has been forged over many years and has a solid reputation globally. The requirements for being “Swiss Made” are:
1) The Movement is made in Switzerland.
2) Assembled in Switzerland.
3) Quality inspected in Switzerland.
Georg Jensen watches use Swiss Made quartz movements and Swiss Made ETA mechanical movements.
The water resisitance protects the movement inside the watchfrom dust and moisture.
Rubber gaskets on crown, crystal and case back keep the watch water resistant. However, as the gaskets are constantly exposed to several forms of outside aggresions (cosmetics, perspiration and temperature changes), the water resisitance of a watch may decrease over time.
We advise to have the water resistance of a watch checked every 12 months, especially in hot and humid climates.
